1. New assembly systems have been introduced at the second conveyor of the KAMAZ plant
The second conveyor of the KAMAZ automobile plant has mastered two new assembly systems with a fixed tightening moment. With the help of the new equipment, the stabilizer bracket is securely connected to the front and rear suspension struts of the K5 generation KAMAZ vehicles.
The dual-spindle impact wrench system enables simultaneous tightening of two bolts with a fixed torque, and indicators confirm that the operation has been successful. The crane boom extends four meters in each direction, making it easy to reach the machine. Another advantage of the new system is the absence of vibration and noise.

2. A new national standard for monitoring the installation of load-bearing structures using bolted connections has come into effect in Russia
On May 1, 2025, GOST R 72004–2025 “Bolted connections of steel building structures. Method for determining the bolt tightening coefficient” came into effect. This document ensures the implementation of operational control over the installation of load-bearing structures of buildings and structures using friction connections.
The standard applies to friction joints (on controlled tension bolts) of steel building structures and establishes a method for determining the bolt tightening factor on the construction site.
The document was introduced by the Technical Committee for Standardization TC 465 “Construction” and was introduced for the first time.

3. Prommetiz Association summed up the results of the industry's work for 5 months of 2025
In May 2025, the Association recorded an increase in the physical volume of shipments of hardware compared to April of the current year — the volume was 107.4%. The main growth in sales of products in May was due to hardware related to consumption by the construction sector: cold-formed reinforcement (CDR), ordinary quality wire, VR wire, nails. Considering that there is no growth in the construction industry, the growth in sales in this sector is primarily due to the replenishment of warehouse stocks.
At the same time, for types of products consumed in other industries (automotive, mechanical engineering, extractive industries), a further decline in shipments to consumers is observed.
Based on the results of 5 months of 2025, a continuing decline in the physical volumes of shipments and revenues of hardware enterprises was recorded. Among the main factors of this negative trend is a decrease in the overall consumption of hardware products on the domestic market and a continuing growth in the import of hardware in Russia, primarily fasteners, welding wire and ropes.

4. The first production of electrofusion fittings was launched in Russia
The Peterpipe plant in Borovichi, Novgorod Region, opened the first production facility in Russia for electrofusion fittings for polyethylene pipes. Previously, electrofusion fittings were purchased abroad. The company has a full cycle of production of polyethylene pressure pipes and components. Investments in the project amounted to more than 400 million rubles, 118 jobs were created. In 2025, it is planned to launch production of a fundamentally new product - polyethylene ball valves.
