1. MMK-METIZ installed new equipment for the production of fasteners
This year, the company installed a new equipment complex for the production of threaded fasteners with thread sizes M6 - M12 in the length range from 16 to 100 mm. Six cold heading and thread rolling machines of Chinese and Taiwanese manufacture were installed for the production of bolts. The total capacity of the complex reaches 2000 tons per year. An auto-operator line for galvanizing fasteners of Russian manufacture was also installed and launched.

2. New GOST on anchor technology has come into force
From July 1, 2025, GOST R 72018–2025 “Mechanical anchors for fastening in concrete. General specifications” came into force. The standard applies to mechanical anchors with torque control, with displacement control, screw anchors and anchors with expansion, installed in place, in pre-drilled holes intended for critical fastenings in a base made of heavy concrete.

3. The Prommetiz Association summed up the results of the industry's work for June 2025
According to the Association, the enterprises that are part of the association reduced the volume of shipments in physical terms in June 2025 compared to May. The ratio was 94.1%, sales reached 90.33%. A continuing decline in the volume of shipments of finished products across the entire product line is noted.
At the same time, in relation to June 2025 to last year, the level of physical volumes was 86.3%. The Association also notes a continuing decline in the level of production capacity utilisation.

4. BMK launched a new line for turning and grinding the surface of wire
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant (BMK) has launched a line for turning and grinding the surface of wire rod and wire. The line is designed to improve the surface quality of wire rod and wire made of various grades of steel: low-carbon, carbon, low-alloy, spring, high-alloy heat-resistant, stainless. Such products are used in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. The equipment allows processing up to 3,600 tons of wire per year, depending on the range.
